Dear Suze, I was quite the party girl, back-up singer and extra in films, with all-night drugs and sex. Now, in my 60s, the guy I like loves my stories while we’re drinking but gets sarcastic and shaming when we’re sober. His friend winked at me, and another pinched my butt at a party. He told me they knew about my “wicked” past and to act cool. I like myself, including my past, but he makes me feel dirty.
Dear Cool, Anyone who makes you feel how you don’t want to feel isn’t worth your time. You’ve seen his true self and it stinks. Why bother to educate him, love him, or even give him a second chance? Pinch yourself and walk away. He’s your playmate, but he doesn’t know how to love you. -SQ
