Dear S.Q., Our 7-year old cries that I won’t give her a Labubu doll for Christmas. It’s a conscious decision because it’s just another stupid media induced fad. How to explain this to our kid?
Dear Dad, Like the way of Tickle Me Elmo, Furby, and Tamagotchi, these crazes come and go. Consider buying a cheap Labubu, acknowledge she likes it, and let it come to its destined place among the other dead and forgotten toys. Pick your battles well,-bedtime, brush teeth, wear seat restraints. Making a mountain out of this molehill isn’t worth the effort. Maybe give your daughter a win? -SQ
