The 3-6-9 Rule

Dear Suze Q., I’m dating in my 60 and a smidgeon of me thinks my prince is still out there. I’ve dated a guy for 7 months and wonder if he’s the one. 

Dear Wonderer, Try applying the 3-6-9 Rule.             0-3 months: Honeymoon stage. He’s great, you’re great, everything’s great. 

3-6 months: How does Honey do stage. Reality has set in. His/your flaws, quirks, irritants cause small arguments that you must learn to handle well in order to successfully move on. Still, good things outweigh bad so you stay. 

6-9 months: Is he your Forever Honey-Bunny stage. Pivotal time to decide if the relationship has long-term potential, and if both of you are ready for a deeper commitment. (Some people like the 6-9 stage so much they turn it into 6-9 years or more). -SQ
