Wed, Bed, or Behead?

Dear Suze Q. I’ve dated this woman for a few years in between others. She’s smart, beautiful, fun, and unpredictably reckless. I’m through my mid-life crisis, and now in my 60s. I want a youthful woman but one I can grow old with. One minute I think she’s “the one” and the next, I want to kill her for being crazy and making me nuts too.

Dear 60, Happy in your 60s is when you savor the good times and know the bad will pass. You’ve “crystalized intelligence” meaning you apply the general knowledge you’ve mastered. You appreciate yourself and others without guilt or self-punishment, while embracing a Go for It! attitude. This woman may have been a good match in your unharnessed, wild youth, but not now unless you’re willing to move backwards into reckless abandon. Your future happiness depends on the truthful answer to one question -is your good time together unquestionably more often and better than the bad? -SQ
