Dear Suze Q. 2025 has been horrible! I live in So. California and know lots of friends affected by the recent fires. My Hispanic friends are scared to death of ICE knocking on their doors for mistaken reasons. The proposed tariffs on our ally countries to the north and south is crazy! I fear it’s only going to get worse. Hopefully, I’m wrong.
Dear Hopeful, Many feel anxious and worried like you. Stick with your support groups. As written in Benjamin Disraeli’s 1833 book, before he was the British Prime Minister, “prepare for the worst but hope for the best.” The loss of our democracy would truly be a tragedy. -SQ
