Balance in Life

Dear Suze, My husband lost 30 lbs. on an injectable weight loss diet. His side effects aren’t horrible, but the belching, farting, and sour stomach are daily. He struts like he’s a lean teen again, while I get fat just looking at a holiday pie.

Dearie, “Life’s not fair, then you die,” is a truism. But, “cheaters never win and winners never cheat” is bullshit. Is injectable weight loss or plastic surgery to make you look younger cheating? No. Is it cheating to have an affair to make you feel younger? Yes. Bottom line, feeling good without bad consequences is what makes life enjoyable. The trick is finding your balance, the teeter and the totter. -SQ
