Dear Suz, I never thought I'd love again in my 60s but Match.com was the cupid. We both have our own life and separate residences but get together often. He still cares for his aging mother and I like living alone. It's given us time to get used to each other's quirks, and our own space to run to. Sometimes he wants me to move in but why ruin a good thing?
Dear Good Thing. Why indeed. If the relationship works and is growing stronger each day, no need to change. Some studies tout that as much as 1/3 of U.S. committed couples live apart at some point. If your circumstances change, or your decision to live apart (together) does, then change your living environment. The great thing is that you've found your loving relationship and life is good. -SQ
