Dear Suz, I’m crazy about a woman and we sleep together 2-5 nites/wk. Lately, she’s left her earrings on the nightstand, make-up wipes in the drawer, and panties in bed. We’re not dating exclusively, but maybe she thinks we are. I’m not sure what to do.
Dear Not Sure, Leaving her earrings could have been a mistake, but leaving underwear was clearly marking her territory. Time for you to figure out why she’s doing this, -a sweet reminder to think of her, a convenience so she doesn’t have to lug important items between houses, a warning to other women, or a hint that she wants to move to the next level, maybe move in. Consider all her possible motives, and deeply and very seriously analyze all your feelings and boundaries. Fairly quickly, get prepared to talk openly, and have that honest, overdue “where are we (and where are we headed) in our evolving relationship” discussion. -SQ
