Dear Suzy Q. On a recent trip to see my kids, a bunch of old friends went out afterwards for drinks, including an old girlfriend. It just happened, one thing led to another and we had sex and laughed about old times. It means nothing so I'm not planning to tell my wife. A mistake I'll admit, just not to her. No harm, no foul, right?

Dear Wrong, Yes, harm. Yes, foul. Marriage is based on trust and fidelity, both of which you've dishonored. Your behavior didn't just happen, the affair was your choice. Telling your wife or not is also your choice. But don't tell her if you're not willing to take responsibility for your behavior. What's despicable, and 100% your fault, is your justification and moral bullshit that it just happened. -SQ
