Dear Suz, We need clarification here. My new guy's friend is interested in my engaged bff and wants to hook up with her before she's wed. I am appalled. The Girl Code would consider this sacrosanct, I think. The Bro Code seems to be looser.
Dear Girl, It's probably lady's choice. Both Codes have rules about eying someone's ex or crush, but the G.C. is definitely clearer that you owe honor even if you don't know the sister. The B.C. gives room to trespass on another's property if you don't know the guy, so technically he's not your bro, and you don't mind being a douch if he calls you out. Every exceptions requires you to justify your behavior and live with your choices. Primary directive: 1) respect, and solidarity with your people, 2) use common sense. -SQ
