My husband just bought a new laptop and a female AI from Microsoft Copilot program ask him how he was doing, and he actually answered! before asking her how to create a musical dog video. The video was very cool and easy, so now I understand how the internet is flooded with this stuff. My husband joked that he hadn’t slept with the AI when he saw I was appalled that she “affirmed” how sweet and cute making a dog video with him would be. What are the rules here?
Dear Appalled, The international community is grappling with AI laws and policies, that primarily address national security, privacy, and “misuse.” Rules for your husband’s relationship with his hot bot should be discussed thoroughly, as needed, between the two of you, not including AI the home-wrecker, BEFORE the marriage trust is strained. -SQ
