Dear Suze Q. I’m retired, 65, and determined to eat healthy now that I have total control over my time. I’m a 30 lb overweight guy with an effective exercise program. I’m tempted to use an injection weight loss program. Which one is best?
Dear Determined. Consult your MD, and choose a unique dieting plan for your needs. Current weight loss drugs are on the horizon in pill form, rather than injection, that you might also want to consider. One tricky thing to keep track of is when you’re physically, not psychologically hungry (eat when bored, stressed…). With physical hunger, your stomach feels empty and growls (maybe headaches and irritability-signs of dehydration), and almost anything will satisfy a true hunger. Build in reevaluations because often weight loss is easier than keeping it off. -SQ
