Dear Readers, 122 countries celebrate Mother’s Day and today is America’s. Cheers and beers for all that associate yourself with mothers, motherhood, maternal bonds in general, and anyone who acts in a loving and caring way with a main goal of nurturing everyone to ensure the survival of our species. Did you know that America’s Mother’s Day stems from mothers who celebrated those whose sons died in the American Civil War, often brother against brother? In 1872, the “Mother’s Day Proclamation” was a universal appeal for world peace. So here’s to you -Cheers to mothers of all sexes, still fighting 150 years later for equality and world peace. -SQ
