Dear Suze. What happened? Match.com said we’d be great. She was delightful, funny, a real lady. The giggles were the first thing I got tired of, cute initially before it started grating on my nerves. My friends mocked her behind her back that she was too simple. I thought she was friendly. Very. And overly so. I wasn’t jealous, I was pissed I was always waiting for her to finish talking to someone, be it the grocer, her mother, or some on-line nobody. A year later, and I can’t wait to get away.
Dear Unmatched, initial attractions don’t always last. You gave it a good run, but the magic dating algorithm was wrong. She adored “show time” which wasn’t what you wanted in a companion. Odds are she won’t change her deep-seated personality characteristic, so if you don’t love it, leave it. No one’s at fault that it was a short-term, not a long-term “match.” -SQ
