Dear Suze, I’m dating a man with a horrible history -abusive father, alcoholic mother, death of a child, 2 marriages with cheating wives. Recently our arguments center on his “poor me” issues, and I end up the bad guy. I’m losing my mind.
Dear Losing, Have you talked to others to confirm that his stories are even true? This astronomical amount of bad luck is unusual, but it’s history. If he can’t live in the present or build a future with you, don’t fantasize this “red flag relationship” will get better. If it was going to, it already would have. -SQ
