Dear Becoming, Mother Nature gives a woman 40+ years to choose to be a parent and another 9 months when pregnant to prepare. Like any big investment, -marriage, homeownership, career change, parenthood will change your life -enhancing without boundaries, but sometimes sorrows no one should endure. Reasons not to: cool baby shower gifts, curiosity, save your relationship, change of routine, to fulfill you, companionship, or afraid you’ll regret it later. After you and your partner have consulted your head and your gut about which path to follow -be sure your heart is ready, then trust Mother Nature to guide you the rest of the way. -SQ
