Thanksgiving in the USA

Dear Readers, Today is the national celebration of Thanksgiving in the USA. Originally a (stovepipe) hats off to the Pilgrims 1621 harvest festival where the main custom is dinner with traditional turkey, sweet and mashed potatoes, fresh picked veggies (now freeze-packed or canned), and yummy pumpkin and pecan pies. Whether you're helping charitable organizations serve meals, watching the Macy's Day Parade, or football games with your loud drunk uncle, cheers to you all and those around the world celebrating just because. Tomorrow is Black Friday, often the U.S. busiest shopping day of the year, where we over-spend, over-sleep, and over-eat left-overs to keep the festivities going just a bit longer. Here's a toast to you and all the diversity that makes the U.S. strong. Live long and prosper. "Nanu, Nanu."  -SQ
