Finding Bliss After Midlife Crisis

Dear Ms. Q. I cried reading the blog last night from What Gives. Was he my husband? I'm a good woman, and did everything right in my marriage. 20 years wasted. My husband was everything and I thought we were happy. I'm scared and crushed.

Dear Crushed. A total reevaluation of life often occurs with both sexes between 40-60 years. You're not the same person you were when you married, nor are your goals for the future. Growing apart sometimes happens abruptly, which is why it's referred to as a midlife "crisis." Grieve your loss, then welcome the opportunity that's been forced upon you and do something splendid with the rest of your life. Embrace the future as a new beginning.-SQ
