Dear Suze Q. I’m almost too embarrassed to write about my companion’s and my trip to see his 70 year-old parents. I’m a divorcee with 3 kids and his mother treated me like I was his high school date. We had separate rooms, she rousted me out of bed at the crack of dawn, and expected me to accompany her while the “men” talked for hours. I’m exhausted and furious with my partner who says he tried to warn me.
Dear Warned. It sounds horrible. Can you find humor somewhere and put it in perspective? It’s over, now let it go and plan a fun vacation with your partner. You can’t change the facts, but you can change your feelings about it. -SQ
