Have Both Worlds

Dear Suze Q. I'm dating a guy who's so other-side-of-the-brain different. He's an art professor and I'm a practical teacher type. I love his world, but I'm not sure of our future. He drones on about history, and while I love galleries and museums too, a good band, drinks and dancing is what pumps my heart. Dear Toe-tapping. Have both worlds, Mamma. He sounds like he's a fit for you with some things and not others. Be honest and tell him you don't want an exclusive relationship now but love being with him. Unless he gives you an ultimatum -all of him or none of him, you don't have to choose. It's not a grand idea to settle for less than the best companion, and dating multiple people allows you to see if you're more attracted and compatible with others. -SQ
