Dear Suze, I've dated Jim for a year who criticizes my dress and makeup. Everything else is ok, and somethings are terrific. But, I'm always one step away from leaving, then he draws me back. My friends say he's bossy and won't come around if he's there. What am I missing?
Dear What am I missing? You're missing the obvious. If you're always half-way out of the relationship, then you're never totally in it. Follow your heart and keep walking. You gave a year to assess if it is good enough. Fast forward 2, 3, 5 years, can you imagine the relationship radically better? -SQ
