Dear S.Q. My neighbor and I were playmates but grew apart after elementary school. Then, I was the sucker who forgave her when she flirted with my teen boyfriends. Now in our 20s, she did it again last week with someone I really like. Luckily, he told me first -she tried to give him a b.j. at a party at my house! Why not dump her for good?
Dear Sucker No More, You’ve heard him, now hear her side before acting. NO, don’t burn bridges until all the facts are in; or if you later reopen the relationship (-if they crawl and beg your forgiveness). YES, burn down the bridge and everything surrounding it when you decide to righteously retreat and leave nothing but scorched earth. -SQ
