Dear S.Q. Our daughter is furious that her boyfriend removed his condom during sex. He liked it "nude," and didn't care what she wanted. She's afraid of getting pregnant. Any recourse? CA Mom
Dear Mom, California was the first U.S. state to make "stealthing," illegal, -the removal or tampering with a sexual barrier, like a condom, without the other person's knowledge or consent. It is sexual abuse that violates trust, bodily autonomy, and consent. It's a civil offense under the definition of sexual battery where the victim can sue the perpetrator for damages. Further consideration, IF your daughter stays in the relationship and IF this bastard forces sex with her (rape), or worse, what's to stop him? RED FLAG WARNING! LEAVE NOW! -SQ
