Dear SQ, Yesterday’s 50501 international protests fired me up. Everyday between 2024-2027, over 11,000 baby boomers (born between 1946-1964) will turn 65 years old, turn silver-haired, and silver-tongued. We identify with the 1976 movie, Network, where the TV anchorman galvanized the nation persuading them to throw open their windows and shout, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore.” The American heavy metal band, Twisted Sister, are all Baby Boomers now, who in 1984 belted out, “We’ve got the right to choose, we’ll fight the powers that be, just don’t pick our destiny… We’re not gonna take it anymore.” Suze, my nest egg is empty and the future looks bleak.
Dear Silver, Power to the people is a fundamental right written in the U.S. Constitution, and the Baby Boomers have the numbers to effect change. The question to you, is how? -SQ 🦾💪🗣️
