Dear SQ, I’ve been with a book club for years, college educated and politically astute women all 50+ years old (plus 2 men sometimes). It was such an uproar when we read the 50 Shades of Grey series, some were appalled with the S&M, others thought it was a hoot. It’s my turn and I want to suggest: All Fours by Miranda July, but I expect push-back.
Dear Expecting. Embrace the push-back that will again expand your club members’ imaginations. This well-written book is the New York Times best fiction book and a top The New Yorker’s “must read” of 2024. Plenty gave it a worthy two-thumbs up. Don’t forget to bring wine. -SQ
