The note from Should I Stay hit a few readers right in the teeth. Here are a few responses.
Dear Suze Q., Bad hygiene is the worst turn-off imaginable. I married a man years ago with sour breath because he was terrific in other ways, but I found myself tense when he wanted a brief kiss, or hug, or just to talk too close. I finally told him and he was surprised, and of course, embarrassed. A few quick google searches solved his problem, that was to brush his tongue and roof of his mouth, not just teeth! A simple solution to a sticky problem. -Breathless in Balboa.
Dear Suze, My partner takes a shower in the morning to wake up and at night before bed. I'm pleased that he's so clean but he expects fresh towels both times. I felt like his personal maid until I told him he needed to do his own laundry and gave him a separate clothes basket. We rearranged some household chores and now he does all his own wash. Sometimes I slip in a pair of my undies just to make him laugh. -JK
