Is It Too Much To Ask For Sex?

 Hi all.  I got a note that I want to share from a reader who just stepped back into the dating world.  -SQ

DEAR SUZE Q.,  My husband passed 5 years ago after years of cancer.  I'm in my mid-60s and just met a nice man who's a few years younger.  I miss sex and don't want to waste time on a guy if we're not compatible in this area, but don't want to seem forward.  Am I asking too much? 

DEAR ASKING.  Asking for what you want is never asking for too much.  How you ask is the tricky part.  Are you seeking compatible sex as one important part of a forever relationship or just a casual friendship with sex benefits?  Once your intentions are clear to yourself, put out physical feelers to your guy.  Touch his arm or hold his hand to see if you both feel attracted, then the first kiss should tell you whether to proceed or call it quits.  If he is less than enthusiastic or you feel out of sync from these brief physical encounters, consider moving on to someone who lights up your libido.  One of the perks of growing older is unapologetically going after what you want and enjoying your life to the fullest.
